i need a filter
i need a screen
i have contaminates
that can't be seen

i need a second thought
a chance to rhyme or reason
i need to be rest assured
on every possible decision
for whatever direction I choose

i will surely lose

the fight of hindsight
the battle that can't be won
for it is so easy to see the battles lost,
but hard to imagine the battles 
that didn't need to be won
